Kano State Governor’s former commissioner of Works and Infrastructural Development, Engr. Mu’az Magaji sacked for expressing his happiness about the death of late Abba Kyari has also tested positive to the deadly COVID-19 pandemic.

Naija News learnt Magaji who confirmed this in a post on his Facebook timeline earlier today said that he has been moved to an isolation center in the state for treatment.

The Ex-commissioner wrote, “this morning, my NCDC test is out. I have been confirmed COVID-19 positive, and have been moved to one of the state facilities,” he wrote.

Speaking further on the sudden twist of fate, Magaji said, “going through a historical moment of our time, a time we will either live to remember or we will be remembered having lived in. Whichever applies, Alhamdulilah,” the sacked Commissioner however wrote.

Naija News recalled that the kano state governor Abdullahi Ganduje had sacked the state’s Commissioner for rejoicing over the death of the Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Abba Kyari.

Magaji while reacting to Kyari’s death said Nigeria was now free.

However, in a new development in kano state,Three persons who earlier tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) in Kano State have recovered from the disease.

The State Ministry of Health disclosed this via its Twitter handle in an early-morning post on Thursday.

According to the tweet, the recovered patients have been discharged from the government’s facility where they received treatment. This brings the number of patients who have recovered from COVID-19 in Kano to six since the outbreak of the disease in the state.
