However, this new development has generated several reactions from Nigerians .here are the reactions
If Abacha was an Igboman, Northerners would’ve called for a total ban of Igbo people frm holding public office. I’m glad Igbos don’t hv strong self-interested individuals that have undermined national treasury. Just 5 years in office, 22yrs of constant credit alert. #AbachaLoot

Abache is the textbook definition of corruption. Imagine a man who has been dead for 22 years yet his embezzlement beats all the politicians living all together.
I now understand why his daughter said no matter how broke they are they cant be as broke as dangote.#AbachaLoot pic.twitter.com/rcFin4KlOM— Omo Pastor (@ezraallen14) May 5, 2020

It’s true then what Buhari had us told: Abacha never stole.
He merely outsourced the Central Bank of Nigeria’s role
To several secret bank accounts scattered across the globe.
And now Buhari can count on cash to cure his earlobe.#AbachaLoot— Kingsley Orok 🇳🇬 (@kboiyanki) May 5, 2020

And who borrow against the toil of the tenth generation
So they’d bath in warm opulence while lack rules the nation.Readily, he revokes his retirement and returns to active service.

THE ACTIVE ANCESTOR. #AbachaLoot
The years now number over one score since he first wore
On his epaulettes the respected rank of Ancestor.
Yet yearly he sends his needy nation millions from the grave,
Indicting its leeches and leaders who spend but do not save,A THREAD 👇

As many berated the past head of Army Staff, Major General Sani-Abacha for stealing such a huge amount and stocking it in the different bank around the world others are mocking president Muhammadu Buhari over his previous statement and others asking what the federal government will do to the new funds
@burnaboy posited that the energy #Nigerians use in dragging people should be extended to #Nigeriangovt.#AbachaLoot of $311m has been recovered, can we ask @GovNigeria where the recoveries will be applied. Do we still need loans with #Chinese loans that will mortgage?@SERAPNigeria

Come to think of it, if those western worlds are not a party to Nigeria downfall, why are they releasing our money in tranches?
What happens to the interest?
Time value of money?
Other related factors.#AbachaLoot https://t.co/pHr2CVrodO— ԾʅՄ-ԺԹעɿԺ™🍀 (@MoiAuthentic) May 5, 2020
