With two wins to claim its first Premier League title in 30 years, Liverpool has had the season suspended. In the blur since then, the Reds welcome good news because the English government has given the green light for the resumption of games. Through a plan called “project restart”, the authorities would put pressure on the teams to resume by June 8.

While several authorized Premier League voices believed that the season was unrecoverable and that the Netherlands’ example should be followed by definitively cancelling the season, the English authorities decided to resume the Premier League. According to the Times, the British government wants the season to resume in order to relieve a nation stressed by the coronavirus. Thus, the Premier League will be a source of distraction for the people in these very difficult times.

According to the English newspaper, this plan also allows for a three-week pre-season during which players would train in full-contact sessions. Thus, this recovery is scheduled for June 8.

Concerning the places, the authorities would think of playing the matches in neutral sites. Also, players could be confined to hotels until the end of the competition.
