1. COVID-19: Buhari To Make Difficult Decision Next Week – NCDC

President Muhammadu Buhari will make some difficult decisions on coronavirus (COVID-19) containment next week Wednesday.

The Director-General of the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) Dr Chikwe Ihekweazu made this known during a courtesy call on Governor Aminu Masari of Katsina State.

2. Lagos Discharges More Coronavirus Patients

The Babajide Sanwo-Olu-led Lagos State Government has announced the discharge of nine Coronavirus (COVID-19) patients after testing negative twice for the virus.

This was made known by Gov Sanwo-Olu in a statement to newsmen on Tuesday.

3. Prophet TB Joshua Sends Strong Warning To Buhari, Other World Leaders Over Coronavirus Lockdown

Prophet T.B Joshua, founder and leader of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, (SCOAN) has warned all world leaders to find a way to end the coronavirus lockdown.

The clergy warned that should the leaders fail to relax the lockdown in their various countries, there is a risk of facing a terrible situation afterward.

4. Several Armed Bandits Killed As Military Launch Air Strike In Niger State

Many armed bandits have been killed as a result of an airstrike launched by the air component of Operation Gama Aiki, the Defence Headquarters has declared on Tuesday.

The statement in Abuja by the Coordinator, Defence Media Operations, Maj.-Gen. John Enenche disclosed the operation was carried out on Sunday, April 19.

5. President Buhari’s Personal Body Guard, Lawal Mato Is Dead

Warrant Officer Lawal Mato, a personal bodyguard of President Muhammadu Buhari died today Tuesday, 21, April 2020.

According to presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu Mato died after battling diabetes for three years.

6. Federal Govt. Postpones 2020 WAEC, NECO Indefinitely

The President Muhammadu Buhari-led government has postponed the Senior School Certificate Examination organised by the West African Examinations Council and the National Examinations Council due to the outbreak of Coronavirus in the country.

The development was announced by the Minister of state for education, Emeka Nwajubum, during a press briefing.

Nigeria’s inflation rate has risen to 12.26% in March 2020 as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to ravage the country

The National Bureau of Statistics who made the announcement in its latest inflation report stated that based on the month on month analysis, Nigeria’s inflation rate rose by 12.26% in March 2020, higher than the rate (12.20%) recorded in February and 12.13% in January.

10. ‘Health Sector Won’t Remain The Same After COVID-19’ – Boss Mustapha

Boss Mustapha, the Secretary to the Federation, on Monday promised that the Health Sector in the country will improve after the Coronavirus pandemic.

The Chairman, Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, noted that post-COVID-19 would bring about a total overhaul of the health sector.
