Atiku Under Attack Over Comment On National Grid Collapse

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has mourned the death of former Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF), Osuolale Richard Akinjide.

Naija News reports that Senator Babafemi Ojudu announced the death of the famous legal Luminary and Minister for Justice in the government of Prime Minister Tafawa Balewa on Social media network, Facebook on Tuesday, April 21.

“Richard Akinjide (SAN) politician, former minister just passed on. RIP,” Senator Ojudu wrote on his Facebook page.

Akinjide died at age 88 in the early hours of today, Tuesday, April 21 at the University College Hospital in Ibadan, Oyo State, southwest Nigeria.

Reacting in a post on his Twitter page on Tuesday, Atiku said Akinjide lived an impactful life as a lawyer and politician.

He said “May the soul of Chief Richard Akinjide rest in peace.

“He lived an impactful life as a lawyer, politician, administrator and most of all, a family patriarch.

“On behalf of my family, I express my condolences to the Akinjide’s family.”
