COVID-19: Jack Ma Gives-Out Fresh 500,000 Test Kits, Gloves To African Countries

Jack Ma, the founder of Alibaba Group, has given-out more medical equipment and donation to African coutries  in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Chinese billionaire made the announcement on his verified Twitter handle.

Ma twitted: “Our 3rd donation to Africa will immediately be made to @_africanunion and @AfricaCDC.

“This includes 4.6 million masks, 500,000 swabs and test kits, 300 ventilators, 200,000 clothing sets, 200,000 face shields, 2,000 thermal guns, 100 body temperature scanners and 500,000 pairs of gloves.”

The Founder of Ali Baba Group, Jack Ma, who made this revelation on Monday, said the donation was the third batch to Africa and it would be dispatched immediately to the African Centres for Disease Control for further distribution to AU Member States.

Africa has recorded over 20,000 coronavirus cases and over 1000 attendant deaths.

Naija News recalls that the philanthropist had donated his first batch of medical supplies  to each of the 54 AU Member States despite several backlash from top Nigerian stakeholders ,Politicians and Pastors
