CAF have postponed the one-match final for the Confederation Cup this season until further notice.
Naija News Understands that football regulatory body for the continent made it decision known as COVID-19 Pandemic continues to ravage the all football activities in the world.
As a result, CAF postponed the semi-finals of both the Champions League and the Confederation Cup and on Saturday, CAF released a statement to put the final on hold for both competitions.
“The new schedule will be communicated in due time after consultation with the various stakeholders,” a CAF statement said.
“CAF is monitoring the situation closely and working with the relevant authorities including the Wealth Health Organization (WHO) on the impact of the virus on the continent, and will announce developments to our competitions at the appropriate time.”
It’s worth mentioning that CAF had already suspended the 2021 AFCON qualifiers along with the 2020 CHAN as there are over 19,000 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Africa.
