Kano COVID-19 Taskforce Chairman, 3 Others Test Positive For Coronavirus

Kano State Government has confirmed on Friday, April 17 that four members of the state COVID-19 Taskforce have been infected with the dreadful Coronavirus disease.

According to the report, the Co-Chairman of the state Taskforce, Professor Abdulrazak Habid, and three others from the group has tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

Naija News understands that the development was confirmed in a statement on Friday night by Dr Aminu Tsanyawa, Kano state Health Commissioner.

Dr Aminu, in the statement issued on his behalf by the Ministry’s Public Relations Officer, Hadiza Namad, admonished residents in the state to adhere to the earlier announced precautionary measures by the Federal and state government, including the health agency in battling the pandemic.

He, however, assures that the health sector will continue to take necessary measures in combating the spread of the killer virus in Kano State.
