Senior Lawyers Knock Buhari Over Extension Of IGP Adamu’s Tenure

The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has today, April 17, issued a fresh order of redeployment on Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Dandaura Mustapha.

The development was disclosed in a statement on Friday (today) by the Nigerian Police Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba.

The IGP, as contained in the statement by Mba has Mustapha with Joseph Gobum Mukari.

This is coming a few days after the IGP ordered the immediate deployment of additional intelligence and operational assets of the Force, comprising Police Mobile Force (PMF) Units, Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS), Intelligence Response Team (IRT) and the Special Tactical Squad (STS), to Lagos and Ogun States to strengthen security and bolster public confidence in the communities following recent activities of hoodlums.
