The Personal Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, has reacted to the question raised by Nigerians if the lockdown enforced in Lagos, Ogun state and FCT will be lifted by the President.
Nigerians have been demanding for a statement to be released if the 14 days lockdown enforces by President Buhari which will expire on Monday night will be lifted in Abuja, Ogun State and Lagos.
There had been two sides to the reaction, as some believe the lockdown will continue due to the spread of COVID-19, while some believe the lockdown will be lifted and they can go about their daily activities.
The Presidential aide while reacting to the demands of Nigerians on Twitter noted that the next step will be properly communicated to Nigerians.
He said, “I can see a lot of questions on whether there will be an extension of the lockdown in Abuja, Lagos and Ogun or not, with the initial 14 days expiring tonight.”
“Nigerians will be properly communicated on the next step.”
“For now, as President @MBuhari appealed, stay safe at home.”
