The deputy national leader of the Biafra Nations Youth League (BNYL), Ebuta Ogar Takon, has resigned from his position in the group.

The development was confirmed in a statement by the National leader of BNYL, Princewill Chimezie Richard made available to Naija News on Friday.

He noted that Ebuta Takon Akor, an indigene of Ejagham, in Cross River State will now replace Takon as the new national deputy leader of the group.

“The former deputy took the decision to bow out from office but still remained a respected senior officer,” he noted.

Meanwhile, Naija News recalls the group’s leader, Princewill Chimezie Richard was earlier in isolation after testing positive to the coronavirus infection due to contact with someone who flew in from Sweden.

He has since recovered and was discharged on Monday after being in isolation for over 2 weeks.
