Buhari Makes Fresh Appointments Amid COVID-19 Outbreak (Full List)

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Prof. Musa Ahmed as the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Agriculture, Zuru in Kebbi State.

This appointment was made known on Thursday by Sabo Nanono, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.

The Director of Information of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Theodore Ogaziechi, in a statement, revealed that the Minister also announced the appointment of Yusuf Bazata, from Kebbi, as the Registrar of the university.

According to Nanono, Ahmed was, until his appointment, “a professor in the Department of Veterinary Parasitology and Entomology at the University of Maiduguri, Borno State.”

He added that the new Vice-Chancellor is also a Fellow, College of Veterinary Surgeons, Nigeria; Fellow, Institute of Human and Natural Resources and Director, International Technology Centre, University of Maiduguri, among others.

Ahmed, who hails from Borno State, has over 36 published works to his credit.

Naija News reports that the country is currently battling the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

This has however not stopped the President Buhari administration from carrying out its policies.
