1. Fire Guts Treasury Office In Abuja

Fire has gutted the Treasury House which is the office of the Accountant General of the Federation.

Naija News reports that the Treasury House is located in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

2. Boko Haram: Why Buhari Cannot Emulate Chad President, Lead Nigerian Army – Momoh

The former Minister of Information, Tony Momoh, has revealed why President Muhammadu Buhari can’t lead the march against Boko Haram insurgents.

Recall that the President of Chad, Idriss Deby, led military men on Saturday which saw Boko Haram arm store in Sambisa captured.

3. Coronavirus: Kwara Commissioner Of Police Warns Offa Communities On Lockdown

The Commissioner of Police in Kwara State, Kayode Egbetokun, has warned all residents of Offa communities in the state to stay at home following the outbreak of Coronavirus in the state on Monday.

Mr Egbetokun noted that markets, eateries and banks will remain closed in the state in an effort to curtail the spread of COVID-19.

4. Ndigbo Reacts As Chinese Authorities Kick Out Igbo People From China

Some videos had emerged yesterday where some Chinese authorities could be seen kicking Nigerians out of their hotels over Coronavirus fears.

A statement signed yesterday by International Coordinator, Nze Ugo-Akpe Onwuka (Oyi) the forum said it “received with amazement and shock the inhuman and demeaning treatment currently being meted out on Ndi Igbo and other Nigerians in China.”

5. 66-year-old UK Citizen Dies of COVID-19 In Lagos

A citizen of the United Kingdom has died of the deadly coronavirus (COVID-19) in Lagos State.

This was made known on Twitter by the Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi, on Wednesday.

6. Private Hospitals Must Get Certification To Treat COVID-19 – FG

The federal government has directed all private healthcare facilities, with capacity to manage the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) disease, to seek government’s certification to do so.

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), who is also the Chairman of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on (COVID-19), Mr. Boss Mustapha, gave the instruction during Wednesday’s daily press briefing in Abuja.

7. Chinese Medical Doctors Arrive Nigeria

A Chinese medical team has arrived Nigeria to aid in efforts to combat the coronavirus pandemic.

The medical personnel arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, around 5pm on Wednesday.
