NCDC Confirms 22 Fresh Cases of COVID-19 In Nigeria

The Nigeria Centres for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed twenty-two new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) in Nigeria.

The NCDC made this known on Wednesday night on its Twitter handle.

It tweeted: Twenty-two new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria: 15 in Lagos, 4 in the FCT, 2 in Bauchi, 1 in Edo As at 09:00pm 8th April there are 276 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. Fourty-four have been discharged with six deaths.

NNPC: Nigerian Refineries Will Be Handed To A New Company – Kyari

A yet to be named company has been hinted to take over the running of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) after it is fully refurbished.

Speaking in an interview on Wednesday, the NNPC boss, Mele Kyari disclosed that the country’s refineries will henceforth be off from its supervision as it would be handed over to a company to handle.

Nigeria’s opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has told Nigerians to blame President Muhammadu Buhari’s led administration should the cases of Coronavirus increases in the country within a few days from now.

PDP’s National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, in a statement on Wednesday, noted that the APC led administration has shunned the outcry by concerned Nigerians over the invitation of 15 Chinese Experts to Nigeria to help in the treatment of the global pandemic victims in the country.
