Coronavirus: Lebanese Government Evacuates 140 Citizens From Nigeria

About a hundred and forty Lebanese nationals have reportedly been evacuated out of Nigeria on Sunday, April 5 following the global pandemic, Coronavirus outbreak in the country.

Reports had it that the Lebanese government flew into Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos on Sunday with the Middle East Airlines (MEA) in relation to the humanitarian arrangement to evacuate its citizens.

Naija News recalls that over 399 French nationals were evacuated from Nigeria by its government on Thursday, April 2.

The French government airlifted about four hundreds of its nationals from Nigeria via the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, due to the Coronavirus spread in the country.

Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration has directed missions abroad to compile a list of Nigerians willing to return to Nigeria following the outbreak of Coronavirus across the world, Naija News report.

The development was revealed in a statement on Friday by the Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa
