The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Friday night announced that Nigeria has recorded 20 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19). This was disclosed by the NCDC in a post on its Twitter page.

2. International Community Expecting Coronavirus To Crush Nigeria – FG

The Federal Government says International Community are expecting coronavirus to crush Nigeria. Naija News reports that the Chairman of the Presidential Taskforce on COVID-19 and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, made this comment yesterday in Abuja during the daily briefing of the Taskforce.

3. COVID-19: How 55-year-old Man Died of Coronavirus In LUTH, Lagos

An unidentified 55-year-old man who was admitted to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Idi-Araba, has died of coronavirus (COVID-19) complications. According to a reliable source at LUTH, the hospital discovered that the patient had COVID-19 after he tested positive to the virus when a Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test was done on his blood posthumously.

4. Coronavirus: Federal Government Hints On Date For Ending Lockdown

President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration has hinted that the lockdown of states in the country will end when Nigerians fully comply with preventive measures to curb the spread of Coronavirus. The federal government noted it would be hard to curb COVID-19 if Nigerians fail to observe directives meant to safeguard themselves and others.

5. Fire Guts Major Lagos Market

The Maola shopping Mall in the Ebute Ero Market at Idumota, Lagos State, was on Friday gutted by fire. Naija News reports that the cause of the fire, which affected shops 35 and 36 in the shopping mall, remains unknown.

The presidency has reacted to rumours that Mallam Abba Kyari, Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari has died from complications from coronavirus (COVID-19) infection. Naija News recalls the social media has been buzzing since yesterday (Thursday) when controversial journalist, Kemi Olunloyo, alleged that a high ranking member of the President Muhammadu Buhari administration has died from the coronavirus complications.

7. President Buhari Issues Fresh Directive To Nigerian Army

The Nigerian Army has been directed by President Muhammadu Buhari to work with the police to flush out bandits from forests in Nigeria, particularly areas affected by attacks recently. The call was revealed in a statement released by the President’s Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu.

8. Kogi Governor Suspends Commissioner Over ‘Rape’, ‘Assault’

Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has suspended his Commissioner for Water Resources, Abdulmumuni Danga, over alleged assault and rape. The governor also ordered an investigation into the incident.

9. Liverpool: Premier League Takes Final Decision On 2019/20 Season

The 2019/2020 season of the English Premier League has been postponed indefinitely due to the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic across the world. The indefinite suspension was confirmed on Friday after a conference call by officials from all 20 English top-flight clubs who opined that the previous date of resumption was impossible.

10. Nollywood Actress, Tonto Dikeh Speaks On Betraying ‘Closest Friend’ Bobrisky

Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh, says her relationship with Nigerian crossdresser, Bobrisky is more than the ordinary and as such, she cannot betray him.
