COVID-19, What The Global Pandemic Has Taught Me – Immigration Boss

The Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Mohammed Babandede, has in a short video appreciated Nigerians for their love and support at this time that he became a victim of the global pandemic.

According to Babandede who a few days ago tested positive for the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic says he is thankful to almighty God for allowing him to contract the virus, adding that the experience has made him become more humble.

Babandede, however, said that he is doing well, reiterating that Nigerians should adhere to the basic rules of washing their hands regularly and observing personal hygiene.

“I am very grateful for your prayers. In reality, your prayers are helping me recover very quickly,” said the Immigration boss.

“I thank Him, Allah, for giving me the opportunity to be sick because it gives me the opportunity to humble myself and to also know that I am loved by such a large number of people.”

“Today, April 1, I am sending this short video to tell you that I am doing well, recovering gradually.”

“Please take care always. Wash your hands, maintain social distance. This disease is real but above all, continue to pray; continue to pray so that Nigeria will be safe from any disaster. The numbers are still small but we must pray that the numbers don’t grow.” he added.

Meanwhile, former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has debunked rumours that President Muhammadu Buhari’s Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, is dead.

Naija News understands that Femi was reacting to an unsubstantiated report which circulated the social media yesterday, indicating that Kyari had lost the battle for his life to Coronavirus after he tested positive days ago.
