COVID-19: Nigerians Mocks Desmond Eliot’s Makeshift Cleansing’ Project
Chairman, House Committee on the Environment, Lagos State Assembly Desmond Elliot has taken the coronavirus campaign to his Surulere constituency with support from the Nollywood family.
Naija News Understands that the Nollywood star and lawmaker, Desmond Elliot, drew the ire of his followers on Instagram after he posted a photo showing the measures his constituents are taking in the fight against COVID-19.
“So we constructed a makeshift cleansing mechanism, where passerby’s or people entering streets could wash their hands with soap and water and also sanitize before entering the streets -pilot works can be seen in these areas. It was located across the environments.
“Olodeokuta, Ojuelegba both sides, love garden, Hugan Bassy, Masha bus stop, Shirts bus stop, Adelabu, Iponri, Bode Thomas and Ishaga road,” wrote Mr Elliot, who represents Surulere Constituency 1 in the Lagos House of Assembly.
Meanwhile, the Nollywood actor turned politician, was mocked by several Nigerians over his ‘makeshift cleansing’ project in Surulere, the constituency he represents in Lagos State House of Assembly.

However, despite several backlashes from Nigerians who reacted to photos of the project of the lawmaker which was described it as an “embarrassment”. some other Nigerians praised the Actor cum lawmaker for his beautiful initiative and defended him with a proof that he did other laudable projects.here are the tweets below
