Nigeria’s Minister of Health, Mr Osagie Ehanire, has revealed to newsmen details of his meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari on Saturday, March 28 as regards the ongoing development on Coronavirus.

According to Ehanire, he met with Buhari to answer the questions he had on his desk in respect to the coronavirus pandemic in the country.

Naija News reports that Ehanire, alongside the Director-General of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Chikwe Ihekweazu, on Saturday met with President Buhari in Aso Rock to give briefings on the current development in battling with coronavirus outbreak in the country.

Ehanire while speaking to journalists in Abuja on Saturday disclosed that they also outlined some necessary measures to the president, which can be taken to curb the spread of COVID-19 in Nigeria.

He said: “It is to answer a few questions that His Excellency had about the health sector which we took the opportunity to explain further. The takeaway is that we have been able to clarify a few things in question regarding the state we are in on the coronavirus disease outbreak in Nigeria.”

“Well, I explained those problems, the situation and what the projection would be going forward and the measures we think would be very necessary at this time,”

Meanwhile, Naija News had reported earlier that the Presidency has denied reports that President Muhammadu Buhari has approved N30,000 stipends to be given to every Nigerian with a verified Bank Verification Number (BVN) to cushion hardships occasioned by the coronavirus (COVID-19).
