Oyo state Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde has imposed a dusk to dawn curfew from seven o’clock in the evening to six o’clock in the morning following two new confirmed cases of Covid -19 in the state by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control.

Governor Makinde has also directed that no gatherings of more than ten people should be held anywhere in Oyo State while all markets would be closed except those selling perishable food items.

According to the governor, inter-state transportation in and out of the state would be suspended except vehicles carrying food items, medical, pharmaceutical and petroleum products from this Sunday night,March 29th.
The governor who is also the head of the Task Force Covid- 19 in the state said 84 Persons of Interest have been identified pointing out that contact tracing and collection of samples had commenced.
He stated that the index case remained stable and under observation in the isolation unit at Agbami Chest Centre, Jericho,Ibadan.
