Breaking: 8 New Coronavirus Cases Confirmed In Nigeria

Nigeria has recorded 8 new cases of coronavirus in the West African country.

Naija News reports that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed this in a tweet on the micro-blogging site, Twitter on Saturday afternoon, March 28.

According to the NCDC, of the eight coronavirus cases recorded on Saturday afternoon, eight were detected in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial city, one in Benue state, north-central Nigeria.

The development means the number of cases of coronavirus in Nigeria has risen from eighty-one to eighty-nine.

The NCDC tweeted: “8 new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria, 7 in Lagos and 1 in Benue State.

“As at 04:00 pm 28th March, there are 89 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria with 1 death.

“As at 04:00 pm 28th March, there are 89 confirmed cases 1 death For a breakdown of cases by states in real-time, please see covid19.ncdc.gov.ng Currently; Lagos- 59 FCT- 14 Ogun- 3 Enugu- 2 Ekiti- 1 Oyo- 3 Edo- 2 Bauchi- 2 Osun-1 Rivers-1 Benue- 1,” the tweet added.
