Supreme Court Has Failed Nigerians - PDP Reacts As Tinubu Floors Atiku In Court

The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Uche Secondus has reacted to the final ruling of the Supreme Court on the 2019 Zamfara State governorship election.

It will be recalled the apex court on Friday, 27th March, dismissed a request by All Progressives Congress (APC), for a review of its May 24, 2019 judgment in the intra-party dispute in the Zamfara APC.

The application was brought before it by the Abdulaziz Yari faction of the APC.

This online news platform earlier reported that four members of a five-member panel, led by the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Ibrahim Muhammad, in a majority ruling on Friday, dismissed the application on the grounds that it lacked merit.

Reacting to the apex court ruling, Prince Secondus in a statement from his media office in Abuja described the PDP victory as God-given, urging the Zamfara State governor, Bello Matawalle to deliver a lasting impact in the state.

While felicitating with the party and the governor, he urged Matawalle to unite the people and focus on moving the state forward through people-oriented policies.

“God has designed this position for you for a purpose and you must do everything humanly possible not to disappoint both the people and the Almighty who sent you there.”

“Identify critical stakeholders who can help you achieve your goals and refuse to be intimidated because you have a special mandate from God,” Secondus said.
