A loan seeking request by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano state has been reportedly granted by the state House of Assembly on Wednesday, March 25.

Naija News learnt that the assembly after deliberations that lasted some moments has approved an N50 billion loan request by governor Ganduje, which would be obtained from the capital market.

The state House of Assembly Speaker, Alhaji Abdulazeez Gafasa has read before the house a letter signed by the governor, dated 24th March, requesting their approval to obtain the huge loan which will be refunded within the space of ten years, Naija News understands.

Gafasa noted that the loan was to aide in completion of some ongoing projects in the state, as well as embarking on fresh ones.

After the approval, the speaker, however, urged the members to return to their respective constituencies and embark on prayers against COVID-19 pandemic, thereby adjourned their next sitting to April 13, 2020.

Gafasa in his word prayed for God’s protection on all Nigerians against the deadly global epidemic, wishing that already infected individuals get a speedy recovery.
