The Presidency has commenced intensive fumigation of the Presidential Villa over the outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19).

According to the Punch, fumigation experts arrived at the Villa about 9.30 am to begin the exercise, which a source said would cover all the offices at the Presidential Villa.

As of 11.15 am, the experts were already in the main building housing the office of President Muhammadu Buhari, the floors, corridors, and major pathways.

Naija News recalls that Buhari’s Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, had tested positive for the deadly coronavirus.

The Presidential aide is suspected to have contracted the disease during a recent trip to Germany, which the federal government had labelled a high-risk country.

Since returning from the trip abroad, Kyari has had contacts with several prominent persons including Buhari, Garba Shehu, Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to President Buhari, Babagana Kingibe, a prominent member of the ‘cabal’ and Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello.

Aliko Dangote, Governor Bello Masari of Katsina and Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, are among others that Kyari came in contact with.

Meanwhile, President Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo tested negative to the deadly coronavirus.
