COVID-19: Health Commissioner Reveals The Truth On Yahaya Bello’s Test Result

There has been an ongoing rumour that the result of COVID-19 test carried out on Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello was positive, contrary to the governor’s report that he was tested negative.

However, a statement from Kogi state Commissioner for Health, Dr Saka Haruna on Wednesday, March 25 has cleared the air by stating categorically that governor Yahaya Bello was tested negative, hence declares the rumour of the positive test result as fake.

Speaking in a chat with The Nation, the Commissioner said that it is not true that the governor was tested positive. he warns that such news should be ignored.

Naija News recalls that Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Abba Kyari had led a federal government delegation to Kogi State on March 17 to deliver Buhari’s condolence message to Governor Yahaya Bello following the demise of his mother.

Others on the delegation included Boss Mustapha, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, who now heads the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, Garba Shehu, President Buhari’s official spokesperson, Senator George Akume, Minister of Special Duties and Alhaji Lai Mohammed, Minister of Information.

Meanwhile, the CoS is said to be in Lagos State receiving treatment as a test carried out on him shows positive for Coronavirus.
