Osinbajo In Self-Isolation Over Coronavirus

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has gone into self-isolation following the positive test of President Muhammadu Buhari’s Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, for coronavirus.

This was made known on Tuesday by Osinbajo’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Laolu Akande.

Akande said his principal is self-isolating in accordance with the “protocols” of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control.

Coronavirus: Lagos Govt Shut Down All Markets

The Babajide Sanwo-Olu-led Government of Lagos State has shut down all markets in order to curb the spread of the dreaded coronavirus (COVID-19).

Naija News reports that the order will take effect from Thursday, March 26, 2020.

Speaking in a press conference on Tuesday, Sanwo-Olu stated that those not affected are shops selling essential commodities such as medical equipment, water, foodstuff.

Bauchi Gov. Bala Mohammed Tests Positive For Coronavirus

Bala Mohammed, Bauchi State Governor has tested for coronavirus.

This was disclosed by the Senior Special Assistant to the governor on Media, Mukhtar Gidado, in a media statement which was made available today.

Recall that NaijaNews earlier reported that the governor had gone into isolation after he admitted that he shook hands with Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar’s son, Mohammed.

President Buhari’s Test Result For Coronavirus Revealed As Abba Kyari Tests Positive

The President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has tested negative for the COVID-19 virus (Coronavirus) as confirmed by the result of a test carried out on him by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

Naija News understands that the President was informed of the test outcome early this morning (Tuesday) in Abuja.

The test was carried out on President Buhari yesterday after his Chief of Staff, Mr Abba Kyari tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday.
