Miyetti Allah Takes Position On 2023 Presidency Zoning, Tells Buhari To Declare Bandits As Terrorists

The Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore has ordered its members to shut down cattle markets all over Nigeria to curb further spread of the coronavirus disease.

The directive was given after an emergency meeting on Monday which held at the association’s headquarters in Abuja.

According to Alhaji Bello Abdullahi Bodejo, the president of the association, the directive is in line with the advice by the government that people minimize social interaction over the coronavirus pandemic.

He noted that the directive would be in place for 2-3 weeks in the first instance, subject to a review.

“This would last up to two or three weeks when the matter would be reviewed. It’s a known fact that meat could only be eaten when people are healthy, and we could not afford to leave our people without guidance at this time of need,” Bodejo told Daily Trust.

Meanwhile, Naija News earlier reported that the Lagos State government has shut down all major markets in the state in order to curb the spread of the dreaded coronavirus (COVID-19).

The order will take effect from Thursday, March 26, 2020.

Speaking in a press conference on Tuesday, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu stated that those not affected are shops selling essential commodities such as medical equipment, water, foodstuff.
