Coronavirus: Panic In Bauchi As Residents Await Result Of Gov. Mohammed

There is panic in Bauchi State as the people of the state await the test result of their Governor, Bala Mohammed, who had contact with someone who tested positive to Coronavirus.

Naija News had earlier reported that governor Mohammed placed himself in self-isolation after he had contact with the son of Atiku Abubakar, Mohammed Atiku.

The former Vice President had revealed on his Twitter account that his son tested positive to COVID-19.

The Commissioner of Health in the state, Dr Aliya Maigoro, is expected to give an update on the test result of the governor on Tuesday.

The people of Bauchi state who are patiently waiting for the test result are praying that the test result would be heartwarming.

The Commissioner for Health in the state, Maigoro, has assured the people of Bauchi State of their safety.

Maigoro noted that four holding centres have been set up in various locations of the state in preparation for any eventuality.

Maigoro named Toro, Azare, Bauchi Specialists Hospitals and Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH), Bauchi, as centres to handle any threat by the scourge.

He added that the state had also established a special centre at ATBUTH, Bauchi, for renal dialysis usually associated with the disease.
