Nigerian filmmaker and Nollywood star actress, Uche Jombo has slammed President Muhammadu Buhari’s coronavirus address to Nigerians on Sunday.

The actress who reacted angrily noted that the president’s media team should be changed for allowing him go public with the video.

It will be recalled that Naija News earlier reported that President Buhari on Sunday, addressed Nigerians in a 23-seconds video where he revealed what his government was doing about the coronavirus outbreak in Nigeria.

The President told Nigerians his administration was prioritizing the health and well being of all Nigerians.

However, the president during the address on March 22, pronounced ‘COVID-19’ as ‘COVIK ONE NINE’.

This in particular, has attracted a backlash from many Nigerians including Jombo who said the President’s media team should be sacked and replaced for failing to correct the error and going ahead to share it to the world.

She tweeted; “The whole of president Buhari social media team needs to be replaced over COVIK ONE NINE video for not correcting him, watched it and shared it.”

“Now even ghana people on my TL are having fun with it. I hope the “baba must speak to us” WhatsApp group people are happy.”

Meanwhile, the latest update on the coronavirus disease in Nigeria shows the country has recorded its first death from those who have tested positive to the disease.

It was gathered the 67-year-old deceased had underlying medical issues and had been undergoing chemotherapy for cancer and only returned to the country recently.

The deceased was identified as Suleiman Achimugu, former managing director of the Petroleum Products Marketing Company (PPMC), who died at 2am on Monday.

This comes after the NCDC also on Monday, confirmed the number of cases in the country has increased to 35.
