Coronavirus: MFM Shuts Down Churches, Fellowship

The Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), has taken the bold step of shutting down its parishes in Lagos and Ogun States, in tandem with the battle against the spread of Coronavirus.

Yesterday, four (4) new cases of coronavirus were announced in Lagos, this led the state government to suspend social and religious gatherings of over 50 persons.

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of RCCG immediately instructed that his members should suspend services and obey the instructions of Ogun and Lagos governments to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Also, MFM Assistant General Overseer (Administration) Pastor Gbesan Adebambo in memo entitled: “Interim arrangement for ministerial services in Lagos and Ogun states MFM Regions” on Friday, ordered its parishes in Lagos and Oguns States to cancel all services.

They further suspended all house fellowship meetings at any of the centres be postponed till further notice.

The memo read: “No services including deliverance ministrations must hold in any of MFM branches at all levels in the Region under your supervision until further notice.

“Likewise, all house fellowship meetings at any of the centres are postponed till further notice.”

Meanwhile, Naija News earlier reported that the founder and general overseer of Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor Williams Folorunsho Kumuyi, on Thursday, organized a crusade despite the ban on religious gatherings by the government.
