1. Buhari Reduces Petrol Price From N145 To N125 Per Litre

The President Muhammadu Buhari led federal government has reduced the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) from N145 per liter to N125.

This is said to be part of the decisions reached during Wednesday’s Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting in Abuja.

2.  5 New Cases Of Coronavirus Recorded In Nigeria, Confirmed Cases Now 8

Five new cases of the coronavirus disease have been reported in Nigeria, bringing the total number of cases in the country to eight.

This was confirmed on Wednesday by the Minister of Health, Ehanire Osagie during a press conference in Abuja, the nation’s capital.

3. COVID-19: Buhari Must Address Nigerians Now – Senate

The Nigerian Senate has called on President Muhammadu Buhari, to address the country on efforts by the government to address the outbreak of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) disease in the country.

The call on the President was contained in resolutions reached sequel to the consideration of a motion brought to the floor by Senator Danjuma Goje (APC – Gombe Central).

4. Nigerian Government Places Travel Ban On US, UK, Italy And 10 Other Countries Over Coronavirus

The Federal Government has issued a travel ban on 13 countries over the spread of the Coronavirus.

The Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 disclosed this during a press briefing in Abuja on Wednesday.

5. UTME 2020: JAMB Speaks On Cancelling Results Of Candidates

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has denied cancelling results of candidates that sat for the 2020 UTME on Saturday, March 14 and Monday, March 16.

The board made the clarification in reaction to rumours in certain quarters that it has cancelled the results of some candidates.

6. Coronavirus: Reps Ban Open Worship In Nigeria, Visitors To NASS

The House of Representatives on Wednesday banned all forms of open worship in Nigeria as part of efforts to prevent the spread of the coronavirus in Nigeria.

The decision was reached after a two-hour debate by the lawmakers.

7. Coronavirus: NYSC Suspends Orientation Camp Program Nationwide

The 2020 Batch A orientation camp, which opened last week has been suspended by the management of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC.

The camp program was shut down following the confirmation of the third case of COVID-19, also known as Coronavirus in the country, on Tuesday.

8. Katsina State Records First Suspected Coronavirus Case

Katsina State has recorded its first suspected case of Coronavirus.

The development was revealed by the Permanent Secretary of the Katsina State Ministry of Health, Kabir Mustapha on Wednesday.

9. Hoodlums Attack Kwankwaso In Kano, Destroy Vehicles

Suspected armed men on Tuesday attacked the convoy of the former Governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwaso.

However, nobody was injured in the attack which saw three of the vehicles in the former Governor’s convoy destroyed.

10. Lagos Bans Religious Gathering Of More Than 50 People Over Coronavirus

The Lagos State Government has banned any religious gathering that involves more than 50 people over the deadly Coronavirus.

Naija News reports that the decision of the Lagos State Government was taken after a consultative meeting between the state government and religious groups.
