Why We Postponed Passage Of 2023 Budget - Lawan

The Nigerian Senate after a one-hour closed-door session today, ordered a ban on all public hearings and students excursions to the Senate galleries

The Senate President, Ahmad Lawan made the announcements today while also noting that other legislative activities that would attract a sizeable number of people have also been restricted for now.

This is not unconnected to the spread of Coronavirus across the world, including the country

Just a few days earlier, Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire had announced the confirmation of five new cases which included a mother and her baby.

Yesterday, another man was quarantined in Ibadan over suspicion that he had contracted the disease.

Meanwhile, the Lagos state, Ogun state and Anambra state governments have moved to shut schools, worship centres and higher institution.
