Ex-President Buhari Reacts As Abuja Mosque Chief Imam Loses Mother

Nigerian writer and the convener of Free Leah Sharibu movement, Reno Omokri, in a tweet on his verified Twitter account on March 17 alleged that President Muhammadu Buhari’s refusal to restrict flights from foreign countries was due to the fact that former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar had suggested so before anyone.

Reno in his submission noted President Buhari does not want the 2019 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to receive the credits.

He added that the president is battling with his ego and that such must be dropped to save the lives of citizens.

He wrote: “@MBuhari does not want to restrict flights from #COVID19 high-risk nations is because it was first suggested by @Atiku.”

“He does not want Atiku to get the credit. This is about ego. Buhari must drop his ego and do the right thing to save lives!” he added.

Meanwhile, the House of Representatives on Tuesday called on the Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal government to ban all large gatherings in Nigeria to prevent the spread of Coronavirus.

The Green Chamber made the call while urging the federal government to postpone the National Sports Festival.
