1. Oshiomhole Wins In Appeal Court, Remains APC Chairman

An Appeal Court sitting in Abuja, the nation’s capital, has restrained the All Progressive Congress (APC), Nigeria’s ruling party from executing the judgement of a federal capital territory high court which ordered the suspension of Adams Oshiomhole as national chairman of the party.

Naija News recalls that Justice Danlami Senchi of the federal capital territory (FCT) high court in Abuja, had on March 4, ordered the suspension of Oshiomhole pending the determination of a suit filed by one Oluwale Afolabi.

2. Notorious Kidnap Kingpin, Wadume Arraigned For Terrorism, Murder

The Nigeria Police Force has arraigned notorious kidnap suspects, Bala Hamisu, also known as Wadume and 18 others for terrorism, murder, kidnapping, and possession of illegal arms.

Naija News understands that he arrived at the court alongside his co-defendants amidst tight security by the Inspector-General of Police Intelligence Response Team.

3. Kano Assembly Suspends Five Members Over Misconduct

The Speaker of Kano State House of Assembly, Hon. Abdulazeez Gafasa, has approved the suspension of five of it members for six months in connection with last week’s fracas in the house.

Naija News learnt that the suspension of the five members was announced at the resumption of today’s sitting due to misconduct behaviour and violation of the rules of the house of assembly.

4. More Crisis In APC As Another Court Approves New Chairman

An Abuja High Court has granted an interim order allowing the Acting National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Victor Giadom, to act as the party’s national chairman.

Naija News reports that the presiding judge, Justice Samira Bature gave the order following a motion ex parte filed by Mustapha Salihu, the party’s national vice chairman, north-east.

5. Nigerian Doctor Dies Of Coronavirus

The Minister of State, Federal Ministry of Health, Adeleke Mamora, has revealed that a Nigerian doctor, Olumide Okunuga, has died after contracting coronavirus.

Mamora noted that the medical doctor died in Canada while speaking with newsmen during a briefing in Abuja on Monday.

6. Sanwo-Olu Visit Explosion Site As He Speaks On Next Line Of Action

The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his deputy Femi Hamzat on Monday, visited the site of the explosion for an on-the-spot assessment of the raging fire that rocked the Abule-Ado-Festac area of the state.

Naija News understands that the governor while speaking at the site of the inferno promised to raise two billion naira for the affected victims of the explosion.

7. Boko Haram Kills Six Nigerian Army Soldiers In Borno

Six soldiers from the army’s 151 task force battalion have been reportedly killed by suspected Boko Haram insurgents in Borno State.

It is understood that the soldiers ran into an ambush by the terrorists around Banki Junction in Borno state on Sunday.

8. Result of Suspected Coronavirus Patient In Enugu Tests Negative

The Enugu State Ministry of Health has stated that the suspected coronavirus patient in Enugu has been confirmed negative.

Naija News recalls that the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) had Sunday disclosed that a fresh case of Coronavirus was recorded in Enugu State, southeast Nigeria.

9. Lagos Explosion: Peter Obi Reacts To Death Of Revd Sister Who Saved Bethlehem Students

The former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, has reacted to the death of Principal of Bethlehem Girls’ College, Abule Ado, Lagos, Rev. Sis Henrietta Alokha.

Naija News gathered that the deceased was among the seventeen people that lost their lives in the explosion that happened at Abule-Ado.
