The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has scheduled an emergency meeting for tomorrow, Tuesday.

The meeting was announced in a statement on Monday night by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Lanre Issa-Onilu.

The APC spokesperson stated that the meeting will be held at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja by 12 noon.

“All members of the NWC are expected to attend as important matters concerning the party will be considered and deliberated at the meeting”, it said.

Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari after a parley with APC Governors on Monday directed the suspension of a National Executive Council (NEC) meeting earlier slated to hold tomorrow.

Naija News reports that an Appeal Court sitting in Abuja, the nation’s capital, has restrained the APC from executing the judgement of a federal capital territory high court which ordered the suspension of Adams Oshiomhole as national chairman of the party.

Recall that Justice Danlami Senchi of the federal capital territory (FCT) high court in Abuja, had on March 4, ordered the suspension of Oshiomhole pending the determination of a suit filed by one Oluwale Afolabi.

In the suit, Afolabi had challenged the continuous stay of Oshiomhole in office despite his suspension by the Edo chapter of the APC.

However, on Monday, March 16, Justice Abubakar Yahaya, the chairman of a three-man panel of judges, ordered a stay of execution pending the hearing of an application filed by Oshiomhole.
