Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State has accused the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of sponsoring moves to oust the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole.

The Imo State Governor revealed this while speaking to newsmen in Owerri, the state capital.

Uzodinman who said that there are set guidelines for removing a national officer of the party insisted that Oshiomhole would not be humiliated out of office.

He said: “Many of us, leaders of the party, are aware that those clamouring for the chairman’s removal are working with the PDP to destabilise the party.

“But they will fail because we will not allow them to humiliate our national chairman out of the party through illegal means or by dropping the name of Mr. President.

“So, I advise those dropping the name of the President on their wicked plans to desist forthwith. He has done nothing wrong and no amount of propaganda and illegal plots can succeed in removing him from office.”

Naija News reports that some leaders of the APC have identified a replacement for embattled Oshiomhole.

The APC leaders from the south-south zone have also insisted that the party’s National Executive Committee meeting scheduled for next Tuesday must hold and also urged all members of the party from the six states in the zone to be in attendance.

This was part of agreements reached at a zonal caucus meeting, which ended on Thursday night in Abuja where Naija News understands Victor Giadom was endorsed as a replacement for Oshiomhole.
