Deposed Emir Sanusi Leads Friday Prayer In Awe

The deposed Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II on Friday (today) led Juma’at general prayers in Awe, Nasarawa State Naija News understands.

Sanusi was the frontman at the Juma’at prayer which was observed at the mosque attached to the Palace of Emir of Awe, Alhaji Isa Abubakar Umar.

This online news platform understands that the former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria has been doing the same while he was still on the throne in Kano State before he was banished by the Governor Abdullahi Ganduje’s led administration.

Meanwhile, a Federal High Court in Abuja has on Friday, March 13 issued an order for the immediate release of the deposed Emir, Muhammadu Sanusi II from detention in Awe, Nasarawa State.

Justice Anwuli Chikere in his ruling on Friday granted an interim order after an ex parte application by lead counsel to Sanusi, Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), Naija News understands.
