1. I Have Nothing To Do With Sanusi’s Dethronement – Buhari Says

President Muhammadu Buhari has denied having anything to do with the dethronement of Kano Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II.

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity Mallam Garba Shehu stated this on Wednesday. He described such insinuations are untrue, malicious and politically motivated.

2. Coronavirus: Four Children, Teacher Quarantined In Lagos

Four children of the same family and their teacher have been quarantined for Coronavirus.

This was on Wednesday announced by the Lagos State Government while adding that they all came into the country from the United States of America (USA).

3. How Over $2.2bn Excess Crude Account Was Reduced To $71.8m – Accountant-General Reveals

Nigeria’s accountant-general of the federation, Ahmed Idris, has explained how the President Buhari led government spent over 2.1 billion dollars from the excess crude account (ECA).

Idris who gave the revelation on Tuesday at a meeting with the members of the senate committee on finance to explain the Federal Government’s achievements so far on the revenue projection for 2020 and why the excess crude account got depleted from $2.2 billion which the Buhari administration inherited to $71.8 million.

4. Sacked Emir Sanusi Gets Major United Nations Appointment

The United Nations Secretary-General, António Guterres, on Wednesday named the dethroned Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, and 16 others as Sustainable Development Goals Advocates to push the agenda of the global development drive to a new height.

Also appointed by the United Nations are Mr. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, President of Ghana and Ms. Erna Solberg, Prime Minister of Norway as co-chairmen of the committee.

Former President Goodluck Jonathan has denied allegations that he received huge sums of money as well as bulletproof cars from David Lyon or any member of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The former Nigerian leader made the clarification in reaction to an allegation that he received the sum of N300m as well as bulletproof cars from the Bayelsa APC governorship candidate, David Lyon.

Naija News reports that one of the wives of the dethroned Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II, has just arrived Awe, Nasarawa State.

According to information gathered, she arrived in the town around 11:15 am on Wednesday with three of the deposed Emir’s children.

8. Sanusi Was Not Banished From Kano State – Government

The Kano State government has denied banishing the dethroned Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi Lamido from the state.

This was stated by the Attorney-General of Kano State, Ibrahim Muktar, who noted that Sanusi was deposed but was not banished by the state government.

9. Oshiomhole Absent As APC Holds NWC Meeting

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) met at the party’s national headquarters in Abuja on Tuesday.

It was however gathered that the party’s embattled National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole as well as his loyalists were not present at the meeting.

10. Senator Introduces Bill To Ban Use Of Generators In Nigeria

A bill to ban the use of electricity generating sets in Nigeria passed first reading at the Senate plenary on Wednesday.

The bill, sponsored by Bima Enagi, senator representing Niger South, is proposing a ban on the use of electric generators in the country.
