A few hours after Naija News reported that Italian professional footballer, Daniele Rugani who plays for Serie A champions, Juventus has tested positive for the coronavirus disease, his teammate, Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly been quarantined in his homeland, Madeira.

It could be recalled that Juventus on Sunday, March 8 played against Inter Milan in the Seria A game, beaten the guest to 2-0.

Following Juventus’ victory on Sunday over Milan, it was said that Ronaldo fled to his homeland to meet his sick mother who is battling with a stroke.

Meanwhile, before the Portuguese departure, he had shared some moments with his teammates, Rugani inclusive.

The duo was said to have shared the same dressing room before and after their match with Inter Milan on Sunday.

Further details as seen in a photograph shared online, showed when Juventus players were celebrating their victory against their guest club, with Ronaldo and Rugani in a close huddle.

Naija News learned that all players who made contact Rugani have been isolated.

This was coming a few days after the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI) announced the suspension of all sporting events holding in its care, following the outbreak and continue the spread of Coronavirus.
