23 Burnt Beyond Recognition In Jigawa Accident

A horrible accident on Monday, March 9, claimed the lives of passengers in Jigawa State.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, SP Abdu Jinjiri who made the development known to the NAN on Monday noon, an accident which results from loss of control by the driver has killed 23 persons.

Naija News understands that the incident had happened at the early hour of Monday, at about 11: 00 am at Jahun-Kiyawa Road, in Jahun Local Government Area of Jigawa State

It was said that the accident happened after one of the tyre of the speeding bus burst out and made the driver lose control over the ride.

While struggling with the bus in confusion, the bus hits a house at Gwanfai village where the bus finally got stuck.

Naija News gathered that the vehicle caught up with fire after the hit and instantly, all the 22 passengers on-board, including the driver, burnt beyond recognition.

“The bus has in it eighteen males and five females,” said Jinjiri.

He further states that the bus which was having a Registration Number YD 183 HJA, was travelling from Jahun to Shuwarin town before the incident happened.
