The dethroned Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi Lamido has allegedly been whisked away from Kano State after he was dethroned by the Kano State government on Monday.
After Sanusi’s removal from office, a combined team of security operatives including men of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps as well as the Nigeria Police were deployed to the palace.
The security operatives have taken over the movement in, out and within the palace area as part of efforts to forestall any breakdown of law and order.
However, multiple sources from the palace confirmed that a chartered flight is at the Aminu Kano International Airport in Kano waiting to fly the dethroned Emir to Abuja.
