House Of Reps Receives Proposal To Change Nigeria's Name To UAR

South-South geopolitical zone development commission bill presented before the House of Representatives in December 2019 has again resurfaced and passed a second time reading before the house.

Naija News understands that the bill which was sponsored by Rep. Awaji-Inombek Abiante has been read before the house floor on Wednesday.

It is said that the bill will ensure smooth management of benefits from the Federation Account Allocation and other sources.

Meanwhile, in another development, the Oyo State House of Assembly has passed the Oyo State Security Network Agency Bill, 2020 codenamed Operation Amotekun.

Naija News learnt that the lawmakers in their dressing had shown their readiness for the day’s business as the majority of them wore customized outfits in the shade of leopard skin.
