English Premier League has fixed Wednesday, March 11, for the clash between the league champions, Manchester City and Arsenal, after City were able to get approval from UEFA.

According to Daily Mail, this comes as a relief to Pep Guardiola’s side, who has fewer slots for midweek clash for the rest of the season.

Recall that the clash between the Premier League side was postponed from last Sunday due to City’s match against Aston Villa in the Carabao Cup.

Manchester City won the Carabao Cup thanks to goals from Sergio Aguero and Rodri on Sunday.

Although the Premier League suggested Wednesday as a new date, UEFA had to agree to the scheduling.

UEFA could have objected as Liverpool host Atletico Madrid in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie the same day.

The game will see Mikel Arteta returning to the Etihad for the first time after he took the Arsenal job in December.
