The former lawmaker representing Kaduna Central in the upper chamber of the National Assembly, Senator Shehu Sani, has reacted to the statement of the Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, promising not to negotiate with bandits.

Senator Sani in his post on Facebook had noted that the El-Rufai led administration should be equipped and ready to fight against attacks if it refuses to negotiate with bandits in the state.

Naija News had earlier reported that some unidentified gunmen suspected to be bandits had attacked villages in Igabi and Giwa Local Government Areas of Kaduna State over the weekend.

The attack on Kerawa, Rago, Marina, Zariyawa, Hashimawa, Gidan Musa Saidu, and Unguwar Barau villages had led to the death of about thirty people.

The Kaduna State Governor in his reaction to the attack visited the affected areas and vowed never to negotiate with bandits in the state.

Sani in his post on Facebook wrote: “If you choose to negotiate with the Bandits who kill our people, you must be ready to please and appease them every day; If you choose not to negotiate with the bandits, you must be equipped and ready to fight them every second.”
