Coronavirus: Health Commissioner Gives Update On Chinese Man Who Was Coughing At Lagos Airport

A Chinese national who was quarantined after coughing severely at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos, has tested negative for coronavirus.

This was announced by the Lagos state commissioner for health, Akin Abayomi.

He disclosed this at a press conference in Lagos this evening.

He said the man, who arrived the country via Ethiopian Airlines on Monday evening, was taken into isolation when he began to manifest symptom of coronavirus.

The Chinese, Si Wenqhuan was coughing seriously at the airport and had to be taken into isolation immediately,” he said

Recall that Naija News had earlier reported that Senegal and Tunisia confirmed cases of coronavirus

This brought the total number of people with the virus on the continent to five.

Initially, Nigeria, Algeria and Egypt were the only African countries with confirmed cases of the virus, which has killed over 3000 persons across the world.
