The bill for the South-West security outfit ‘Operation Amotekun’ has been reportedly passed into law in Ogun State after the bill passed its third reading in the state House on Tuesday.

Naija News learned that the Ogun State Security Network Agency and Amotekun Corps bill has been passed into law in the state after the House of Assembly Majority Leader, Mr Yusuf Sherif, presented the report of the Committee on Security and Strategy during plenary in Abeokuta.

Confirming the report, Sherif hinted that it was suggested by the committee to passed the security outfit bill as approved by the Conference of Speakers of South West Legislature.

Naija News understands that the majority leader moved the motion for the adoption of the report while it was seconded by Musefiu Lamidi, who is a member of the House.

Reporting earlier, North Central region hinted on its resolution on creating a security outfit in the region.

According to the report, the six geopolitical zone after a meeting with its leaders, disclosed that its focus at the moment is not to invest in community policing.
