Female NYSC Member Found Dead In Hotel Room

The death has been reported of a female National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member identified as Amaka Asikaogu who died in an Abuja hotel.

She was previously in the hotel with a yet to be identified male companion who later left her in the room after ordering foods and drinks.

The duo reportedly checked into the New England Hotel in Abuja on Saturday evening, shortly after which the man left the hotel leaving Amaka in the room.

When the hotel staff saw the man leaving the hotel, it was gathered they asked about the lady and he assured them that she is fine and was alone in the room.

The hotel workers went ahead to place a call to her room which she answered, confirming that she was fine and alone in the room.

However, when it was time to check out the following day, Amaka was not seen prompting the hotel management to force their way into the room and found Amaka’s lifeless body in the room.

A distant family friend who pleaded anonymity while speaking on the matter disclosed that her parents had sent her money for rent when she complained that the person she was staying with asked her to leave the house.

The family friend said: “It was like she was waiting for the end of the weekend before she gets the accommodation before the unfortunate incident happened.”
