Imo: Uzodinma Speaks On How He Will Work With Lawmakers
Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma has disclosed that his administration will ensure a smooth collaboration with the state’s lawmakers and the judiciary.
This news platform reported in January 2020 that Uzodinma of the All Progressive Congress was declared as the duly elected Governor of Imo State by the Supreme Court after sacking the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Emeka Ihedioha.
Speaking about the running of his administration, Uzodinma charged the state judicial workers to work hand-in-hand with each other, avoiding any step that will make the citizens of the state lose confidence on the system, noting that the judiciary must remain the last hope of the common man.
He further promised the Judiciary system of better days, adding that his administration will ensure that they enjoy an improvement in their welfare.
Naija News understands that Governor Uzodinma had made the declarations while speaking at a meeting held at the state government house in Owerri, the capital city of Imo State.
The meeting was said to host the presence of serving and retired judges, members of the Judicial Service Commission, Executives of Magistrate Association and Chairmen of Customary Courts.
Meanwhile, about a week ago, Naija News reported that Governor Hope Uzodinma has called on the Federal Government to refund the sum of #32billion which was spent on the Federal Government’s projects by his predecessors.
The Governor made this call on Thursday when he visited President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
