Former Man United Captain Picks Arsenal Over City In EPL Title Race

Manchester United legend, Gary Neville, has compared Arsenal captain, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang with the club former striker, Thierry Henry.

This is coming after the Gabonese international scored a brace against Everton in his side’s 3-2 victory on Sunday.

Goals from the Arsenal captain and Eddie Nketiah gave Mikel Arteta’s men three points against Everton at the Emirates Stadium.

The former Manchester United defender said the Arsenal captain’s first goal against the Toffees reminds him of Henry when he was playing for the Gunners.

Neville said: “Aubameyang’s first goal against Everton is a classic Thierry Henry’s goal,” Neville told Sky Sports.

“Everything about the goal just reminds me of Henry.”

“How Aubameyang went through on goal, the sprint and finish including how he placed the ball far wide was brilliant.”

“That is how Henry finishes when he was playing for Arsenal but now it is Aubameyang. The Gabonese has a lot of paces and run.”

Arsenal’s next fixture is against Olympiacos in the Europa League on Thursday.
