Kaduna NDLEA Arrests 84 Suspects, Seizes 451.976kg Illicit Drugs

A travelling truck loaded with Cannabis Sativa (Indian Hemp) has been halted by the men of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Kaduna state.

In a report confirmed by the Kaduna State Commander of the agency, Bala Musa Fagge, two persons were nabbed with loads of Cannabis while they were trying to smuggle it to some location in the Nothern part of the country.

This media platform learned that the truck loaded with Indian hemp weighing about 1.760 kilogrammes was meant to be delivered to some group of bandits in Birnin Gwari, Kaduna State and Katsina and Niger States.

Bala who spoke during the Friday meeting said that the truck filled with the hard drugs was meant to be delivered to Zaria, Kaduna State from Ondo.

The NDLEA command also revealed the names of the suspects as; Bashir Mohammed, a driver and Tukur Usaini, the one receiving the exhibit.

Confessing to the crime, Usaini noted that each of the bags of the will cost about N45,000 if sold.
